Kind of feel it does. Went to go pick someone up in Hollywood last night(worse night for driving there of course). I went from atwater, down los feliz til' it became Western. This past H.Blvd and made a right on santa monica then decided "F this!" and turned left into the 101 then got off on velmont ave and made the right on 3rd street and after 10 minutes(no gridlock thankfully) I found my cuz on the phone and scooped him up.

Overall saw alot of people, concrete and brick buildings, old and new. Saw wilshire just before turning right on 3rd and I did get that feel.

Take Sepulveda to Slauson to La Brea. Take La Brea north to 6th, into downtown.

Yes it does have a big city feel because Los Angeles is a big city.

When you battle constantly with millions every day in traffic, you definitely feel it.

Wilshire down ktown looks big city like. Then you have downtown. Heck there are big city feels in Hollywood, century city, and that whole mile down Westwood.

When I was in LA, at times it didn't feel like a big city. Just its own little world. But yes it definitely has that feel to it, just in a different way.

LA is not a big city, it is a "mega-city".

I don't think LA has a big city feel for the simple fact that it is so spread out.

Additionally, other than Hollywood at night I don't feel like LA bombards your senses in the same way that other cities do.

Staring at tail lights and listening to the radio doesn't really bombard my senses.
