That's pretty good, but you could get closer to the water which means it's a nicer area.

Best places to get breakfast - Chuck's, Egg Heaven, Park Pantry. Best market - Ralph's in Marina Pacifica, Trader Joe's in the Market Place.

ps - the apt on Atlantic is too far from the Shore and the water IMHO.

That apartment had a gym, theater, parking, pool etc for $995,

hence me considering it.

Plus it's in a gated community...

Ya. That place is way too far inland to be located in a good in LA. You need to find something closer. I'm sure there's plenty of places closer to the beach with gyms nearby and you will the ocean to go swimming in just blocks your apartment.
