Linden Ave at Wardlow Road - 90807 (Long Beach, Country Club: condo, homes, neighborhood)

Hi,

I have got a 1 BR Condo in Linden Ave at Wardlow Road(90807). Is this a good and safe place to live. This is really close to my work place(3 miles). Would appreciate your suggestions.

Bear in mind that I haven't been to that exact intersection, but the Long Beach/Signal Hill area it's in is not considered to be undesireable for modest incomes. These areas used to be textbook "bedroom communities" for port workers and airplane manufacturers. It's right next to the 405, so I'm assuming your 3 mile commute will be excellent by L.A. standards: if not, you'll find many street commuting alternatives to avoid freeway congestion.

Linden and Wardlow is okay. I would pay closer attention to the other people who live in your condo. You also have the right to find out how many tenants vs. homeowners reside in the complex. That may help you.

There is an area north of Linden and Wardlow is very nice, called Virginia Country Club. There are many very, very expensive homes there. Many homes have been used in films. Including Ferris Beuller's home, the home from Mr. & Mrs. Smith. (both on Country Club Drive) Sorry, I don't know the address.

Also, a historic neighborhood to the east called 'California Heights'. CalHeights.org

I would say the area north of Wardlow in your general area are good and safe. Although, that particular block is a bit congested with many condo complexes. Although, there was that big fiasco last Halloween on Linden and Bixby that sent several young persons to jail.
