So... ayone have any opinions on Los Feliz? Maybe something that could help me out even the slightest bit?

Move here...to Long Beach. It is cheaper, and the traffic flow is better. I like this town because it is a suburb of L.A and it retains it's own urban identity at the same time. If you are from Texas, you may like country music a lot and we have a good country dance place around here. Look in the Bixby Knolls part of town (90807) because it is rather nice...and it has better proximity to Downtown L.A., and better prices than the beachy parts.

Los Feliz/Silver lake is nice, but expensive and full of indie rock hipsters who seem to just ignore other non-hipsters. Down here we got the more middle class crowd going, a bit more conservative...a good punk rock scene too! Not to mention this is a college town.

I like being near L.A. And going there a lot...but I prefer to live in Long Beach!

I've actually been looking at Long Beach a lot lately; it seems pretty cool. I've been looking for that good SoCal punk rock scene, too. It's a lot more like my boyfriend and I than Los Feliz, it sounds like. What's the travel time to get into LA?
