Is it possible to have a 3 bedroom house in LA/near LA for under 250k? Ideally it'd be over 1500 sq feet and in a good school district. If it's possible, where?

Thank you!

Close is relative. If you don't mind a 1.5-2 hour commute each way into LA then I'm sure you can find so.etching.

The "good school district" is the killer. Always is.

Simi Valley has some houses at that price. Agoura Hills has condos at that price. Look on realtor.com. Both have good schools.

You won't find super close and good district, but you will find close and iffy district or far and good district.

Maybe you could look at condos? For condos, you could find something both sorta close and sorta good schools.

For $250k, the closest area with "good" schools and safety I can think of is maybe Covina--it's not even super-close to Downtown LA... like 23 miles away.

With the market trend nowadays, it's likely not possible to buy a house for $250k close to the LA area. Realistically, you are probably looking at the Inland Empire or Antelope Valley.

I think there is an area where you could find such a deal. It's called "Arizona."

Well yes if you want to live in the Ghetto. MY mom lives in South LA and the house next door went for $210,000. A 2 Bedroom, a Den, Livingroom, dining room, and it even had a real back house with a car garage! It was a pretty nice looking home.
