LOL. At first, I laughed hysterically at the thought of someone calling themselves "Big Hazard Gang" and thought that no way this is real. Whats next "Mayberry Crazies"? But I Googled the name and sure enough, it IS real gang. See link.

Sounds like something out of a cartoon or video game, doesn't it?

Back in the day we did not have colors. That was a crip and blood thing. If they did, let me know. FG.

No I have never heard them called BIG Hazard. Just Hazard and the Latino gangs don't fly colors that is Bloods and Crips. Hazard is over in Boyle Heights near Dog Town which by the way is another gang. There are a lot of gangs in Boyle Heights all Latino and mostly 3rd or 4th generation by now. Gangs from the late 1940s and 50s.

I'd heard it called Big Hazard going back at least 15 years. I would see "BH/BHK" tags in the area around the Health Sciences Campus of USC/County General Hospital. I knew a USC employee who claimed to be an ex-member and he always referred to the gang as "Big Hazard." Maybe it picked up the "Big" at some point in its history? I have no info about the use of colors.
