You need to wrap this up and if you're going to try and touch my food you need to be wearing gloves. Standard.". They were clueless. It's just standard/common sense to wrap up some damn pita bread in foil! or put it inside the box of food. The falafel plate was nothing to get excited about either.

Just a strange place. I don't understand the hype and I don't understand the point of this post either.
Promise I don't work for Al Wazir or anything, but both times I ordered from there you get a full packet of pita bread, still in the original plastic wrapping. It's kind of ridiculous they would skimp on the amount of pita since a packet of that stuff costs like 1.00 retail, imagine it is much lower at cost.

At Jon's market you can buy pita for something like 60cents a pack.

If you buy it at Ralphs or another type of chain it's like $2

They are probably paying a lot less than $1 per pack.

Are you saying Al Wazir gives you a full pack like 6 pieces?

I think Zankou and a lot of places only give you like 1 or 2 pieces.

Yeah like 6 or more pieces, at least both times I ordered from there. Usually have some left over for the next day.

I agree Zankou has gotten pretty pricey...not sure if the quality has remained consistant either.

Got a tarna plate from the Toluca Lake location , the quality wasnt very good from what I remember. .

I have to say they are VERY quick though...almost mCdonalds quick with getting ur food to you

A lot of middle eastern type places take their sweet time
They are very quick because they don't pay attention to the quality of the food and they don't wrap up their pita bread. They just leave it out in the open. So yeah, that's why they're quick. They're sloppy.

Isn't Zankou the chain involving the murderous rampage & huge family dispute? Like some of the locations are owned by one side of the family and the others by another faction?

I liked the Falafal King in Westwood Village. Are they still there?
