Im
- 20 year old Odd future and Frank Ocean stan (so please no mature/settled or family oriented areas)
- College Student (plan on doing a few summer courses while im there)
- Likes fun, live beach areas ( was looking at Pacific Beach/Mission Valley)
- Loves fashion

I just want to move to an area that is safe, youthful, and live. And where I wont be looked at like an alien or criminal.

I will be traveling BY MYSELF, so safety is non-negotiable.

Please name areas/neighborhoods/small cities where I would fit in anywhere between San Diego and Los Angeles.

Thank you so much!!
Southern Cali is the LEAST racist place you'll come across. I'm black, lived there for several years and it's the closest thing to INDIVIDUAL ACCEPTANCE there is.

Go with an open mind and leave your "prejudices" in the place you're leaving.

LA is a lot of things, but racist is not one of them. At least from MY experience.

I encounter racism here at home and almost everywhere else I go, does that mean I should just stop living?

This is an overall racist country, but black folks arent going anywhere either. You just have to find areas that are less concerned with race, which is why I made the thread....

To see if there were any milder areas inside of what some people have made the entire SoCal area to be.

Living in SoCal is my dream, and i'd be damned if I dont go.
