There is some truth in what he was saying, especially if you listen to the pollsters that had run ins with the LAPD. We won't even get into the natoional stuff that fueled the LA riots in the first place. As far as I'm concerned his "ramblings"are just as creditable as the corrupt LAPD. The media are nothing more than fear mongering sharks who report what they feel that is in their own best interest.

I think his ramblings were a bit hyperbolic, but based in truth.

The Rampart scandal happened. The Rodney King beating happened. There are "police gangs" and they sometimes become a problem. The old culture did coverups. The newer culture does too, maybe not to the same extent.

The LAPD has declined in corruption over the years. Look at the 30s. Back then, they were running the red light district, and blowing up the property of their political enemies. They were like organized crime. That got cleaned up.

Then, they were only the official maintain-racist-segregation force. That eventually got dismantled too.

For a long time, they were well known to beat up Black people under the Gates admin. That finally abated with Bratton, though Parks and Williams helped reduce it too. This is the history of the LAPD.

I bet there's still problems, and things are getting better, too.

So is Chris Dorner going to get a regular funeral or are the Navy SEALS going to dump his remains in the middle of an ocean?

He won't get any special treatment, except by a few who choose to mix his manifesto and actions with events in the past.

I suspect his family will quietly pick up his remains.
