Wow I'm reading about the fires and was watching some stunning videos.

MALIBU, Calif. -- Nearly a dozen wildfires driven by powerful Santa Ana winds spread across Southern California on Sunday, killing one person near San Diego and destroying several homes and a church in celebrity-laden Malibu.

I would suspect the homeowners have fire insurance. It not, they will have
a nice lot for sale soon.

One Malibu homeowner recently cleared 200 feet of brush near his home and indicated that was the only reason he had not lost it.

So using your logic, people living in the Tornado Alley states (Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota) should not receive any help because of the location of their homes. Nor should residents of Florida receive any assistance when they are hit with hurricanes. And the people who were devastated by Katrina, let's not help them either.

Your remark was harsh IMO.

Adding my prayers and love as well for all affected by the fires in Southern California. Just over a year ago, I was in Malibu--what a lovely place it is...sending lots of angels to protect everyone involved.

I live in Southern California. There are currently 11 major fires burning. The closest fire is about 25 miles from me. The air is choking and the cars all covered in ash. Several friends had to evacuate, actually run with their babies and animals. And to think, some jerk started one of the fires on purpose.
