Hi-Just moved to Los Angeles from New York. My boyfriend and I are freelancers who work all around LA (Hollywood, Santa Monica, sometimes Burbank) we love the Los Feliz area and love the houses on Mount Washington. Is commuting from Mount Washington to Santa Monica at 9am horrendous? Is Los Feliz to Santa Monica any better? Where should we live?
Thanks!

Mayor Villariagosa and county Supervisor Gloria Molino both live in Mount Washington.

YES! The commute to Santa Monica will be horrendous as you would have to take the 110 through downtown to the 10 to get to Santa Monica. Los Feliz may be a bit better but it is still not a great commute. What is your budget for monthly rental? This will help determine where you should live.

The drive to Santa Monica from Mt. Washington would take about an hour at that time. If you only work there occationally it should be fine. Los Feliz would be a little better, becuase there are short cuts to Burbank to by pass traffic, and it is very close.
