I guess everybody knows by now that the Tonight Show will be leaving it's Burbank, California studios and moving back to where it started, New York city, next year. To be perfectly frank, I don't even remember the time when the Tonight Show was in New York, I was only 5 years old when Carson moved the show to Burbank, so to me it's always been Ed McMahon going "from the NBC studios in beautiful Burbank, California, its' the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson!"

I can't stand Jay Leno, but he's a ratings winner. Why NBC keeps pushing him out the door, ill never know.

Fallon will make Conan's reign look like a ratings bonanza.

I can't remember the last time I watch Jay Leno...I've wanted to see him do live stand up.

Has anyone seen him live at Comedy&Magic or somewhere else he performs

Leno's and Conan's shows haven't been the same since the whole drama a couple years ago.

Maybe Fallon can bring back the funniez.

I can't stand Leno either and I don't find Jimmy Fallon to be particularly funny. I prefer to watch Hollywood Jimmy over Fallon anyway.

Lol....why does it seem like people can't stand Jay Leno??

Personally, I like Jay. I think he's funny, and I've seen his show live twice.

I also like Jimmy Fallon too! I think he's funny and does some cool stuff w/his guests. I'll be sad to see Jay go, but I understand if they want younger, NEWER talent in there. Plus, Jay's retiring (so I heard), so I'm not sure if it's really NBC giving him the boot, or Jay just simply wanting to hang up the mic.

If there's one late night TV show host that I cannot STAND however, it's David Letterman. He's not even a likeable person to me. I have always wondered how he continues to get ratings. :-/ He's rude/snarky with his guests at times, his jokes aren't THAT funny, and he always seems to have an "inside joke". But, maybe that's just me!

Different strokes for different folks I guess!

I think there's a big difference, there's just a different 'vibe' if a show is taped in LA or New York. Look at Conan, when he did his show in New York it seemed edgy and more biting, but when he moved to LA it became more vanilla and mainstream

Doesn't Mr. Vanilla himself, Jimmy Fallon, broadcast out of NYC? Kinmel is easily edgier and he has an earlier time slot. Weak theory.
