Just curious how you live? Let's say you have two adults and a space that is about 1000 sq. feet. (or less LOL). How did you or do you simplify your life to live in such a small space. I have 1000 sq. feet right now, but with a full basement. How did you arrange stuff and what did you get rid of?

This is so fun for me to think about...Downsizing Yay! Less stuff!

I'm just gonna keep my books, clothes, and bikes

What advice do you have for someone relocating to a small space...Any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance!

My wife and I live in a 1000sf house with a 2-car garage, wrap-around porch and a large backyard. It's SoCal - we spend a lot of times outdoors. We buy smaller-scale furniture, keep the house clean and uncluttered. I grew up in a 1000sf house with 4 people so I don't know any better. I don't understand why a three person family needs 2500 sf in the best climate in the country.

I live in a 1 bdrm apt. with a dog ( a real dog ) and I have lots of shelves in my closets, storage containers under the bed, a big trunk at the foot of the bed, a loveseat ( a sofa wouldn't fit thru the door). My bldg. was built in 1915 so there aren't many electrical outlets so I use power strips. The less ''stuff'' you have the better!

I'm working on minimizing my 'stuff' level. I don't own too much luckily, but have been wanting to downsize for many years. I don't have things lined up for our CA move as of yet, but I'm thinking that downsizing beforehand is a good idea.

I hope to get rid of my heavy sweaters first LOL But, seriously, I need to go through stuff...There's a lot I can release that is related to being indoors due to the weather

I just hope I have a decent closet for clothes LOL...when I move
