Good luck.
I called 22 Shanghai Express, slowest, paranoid and zombified drivers who do not know to keep their slow behinds off of the left lane. I was commuting on a bike so for the most part I was OK but that jam right around 5 is just ridiculous. I would hate driving a car on 22 when it is busy.

I agree, Old Town (downtown) Orange is really cool too and perhaps a bit under rated. It has a cool 50s vibe that is similar to LBC minus the ocean and parking mayhem.

I also recommend Long Beach. Nice, vibrant Downtown and a lot to do. Very underrated, in my opinion.

Thank you all for the posts! I think long-term I will likely move to Long Beach. But initially I have decided on Orange until I get more familiar with the different neighborhoods and associated commutes to work.

That is totally understandable. Make the move to a location with short commute to work, as mentioned Old town Orange is really cool. Every city has their perk and certain charm. After you move and get used to work, traffic, etc., then as you explore the area, you will be able to make a better decision on where you want to live.

Good luck with everything!
