Hi, i just moved here. I'm a 20 year old, middle class female and was just wondering how the bus systems really is here. I live in westchester and i'm trying to take the bus down to venice beach, by myself. I don't have any friends down here so i'm hoping to go chill down there and see what happens. Anyways i'm just curious as to how safe and reliable they are and if its the norm for 20 year olds to take public transportation, i guess. Or is it just a bunch of crazy people.

Talking You folks are so easy to scare nowadays

Well, there is a lot of crazy youtube videos on LA Metro Transportation system nowadays and lately, so I can see why you have to post this thread. My answer is YES, there is bunch of crazy people especially on Monday mornings and Friday nights. Tuesday and Wednesday sometimes around the afternoon. Well, thursday is where the party is at! Saturday seems full of teenagers and young adults. On Sunday, the transportation seems empty and lonely.

It is safe and reliable if there is no major traffic jams. Unfortunately the Big Blue Bus #3 that goes from Westchester to Marina Del Rey, Venice, and Santa Monica goes on Lincoln Blvd. Lots of cars pass through here especially rush hour. Almost all the people keep to themselves even those who are weird or smell bad. Once in a while there is a crazy person who bothers people.

You can find yourself onboard with a difficult passenger just about anywhere, but I can't think of any reason to avoid the Big Blue Bus #3.

I was taking the big blue 3 as a 12 year old alone. From UCLA to Venice. And other Big Blues. You'll never find a real problem on the Big Blue.
