Although i am a couple years away from graduating college, I like to think about where I will move if anywhere. I currently live in North GA but I wouldn't mind moving to another place and LA has always fascinated me with it's great beaches, mountains, and weather. I know the city is currently suffering economically and is this among others, a reason to not move there? Is it even feasible right after college? Is it not all that it's cracked up to be?

Keep in mind it's very expensive. If you can afford it, then it's a great place. But right out of college? Maybe somewhere similar to LA but smaller?

Unless you are wealthy, nail down a job first before coming. It will make life easier for you.

First off,
I wouldn't recommend moving to Los Angeles alone... Because Los Angeles can be a very lonely place if you don't know anyone, people tend to be guarded at first because its big city. i have to admit people are guarded for a valid reason because there are a lot of creepy people in LA.. Move with someone you know for support.
Secondly,
The Greater Los Angeles Area is somewhat expensive..save your money ..
And Lastly,
i would advise checking out/vacationing in So Cal before moving here.. if you like it land job here and move..

It's totally do-able. I moved to LA in the winter with no job and not knowing anybody and wound up just fine. Moving to LA is no different from moving to any other big city. But the OP will definitely need a plan and some money.

I think so.. Its totally do-able. He can totally do it.
From my experience of moving alone to from Los Angeles to another city i had difficult time adjusting .. I ended up ok..
but the process of making new friends for me was unusually difficult ,probably because the place was different culturally (honolulu),
the experience was worth it however.. I meet a lot interesting people , i learned and experienced things about hawaii that i will never forget good and bad..
