This is definitely a step in the right direction . He seems like a smart guy willing to make some tough decisions.

Greg Nelson, a longtime chief of staff to former Councilman Joel Wachs, said Garcetti should expect push-back from "those who enjoy the status quo."

This has been the big problem in this city, all the people that want to keep the status quo and serve their own interests versus serving the people of the city.
