They can't afford to live here because inventory is low and demand is high. Its simple economics. Why is that not the case in LA? Why are prices 2x higher here? Is it just that people have never been to LA? Prices are high in NYC, Tokyo, London and Paris for a reason. Its not because its ****ty to live in those places.

Are you trying to say that there is a high housing inventory and low demand in LA? lol.
You just need to stop.

I'm saying there is less demand to live in LA than in NYC. Are you trying to dispute this fact?

NYC has some the most expensive RE in the whole country. But I think some of that could be attributed to just a simple supply and demand, there is much much more land here in LA, They are just laid out differently.

Simple answer, there's a sucker born every day; people that fall into pyramid schemes; and those that move to Manhattan and pay ridiculous rent for a shoebox.

Yes. I'll dispute it. I think there is similar demand.

Median house price is higher in LA than NYC too (not just Manhattan)

Yeah definately a big part of it .

Having all the major media outlets based out of NYC doesn't hurt either .

With the mentality that NYC housing is valued the highest so it must be the best

Then McDonalds must have the best food because they arer-valued the highest of any restaurant
