Hi, because of a break up i have to find a place within the next two weeks.
I live in anaheim in a place that cost me and my ex $2000 a month apt is perfect in a very nice area, but now that I am only one paying for it all I have to move. Its me and my daughter. I go to school in North hollywood everywhere I look it seems very unsafe or very expensive i am ok on driving for no more than 20 min because of gas any ideas on WHERE i should look for apt?? and also what websites i should look into... Craigslist seems to have a lot of Scams, i also use typical site such as rent.com/ apartmentguide/ willow/ trulia/ etc.
I need help Asap otherwise I am scared I dont know where i am going to live with my daughter or I will end up in a place in which will scare me.
Thank you!

If you used to split a $2000 apt with your ex, then I suspect your budget now (without your ex) is $1000.

Craigslist is a great place to look; you just have to be smart about detecting the scams, which really aren't as abundant as the stereotype.

Here are a handful in NoHo (nice and safe). I've lived here for years and love it. Basic rule of thumb, is stay in the 91601 zip code. 91602 if you can afford it.

LARGE SINGLE in NoHo

HEART OF NOHO ARTS - STUDIO - WOOD FLOORS - REFRIGERATOR!!! A/C!

Happy hunting!

I use westsiderentals.com. Since the renters who use it have to pay, I know they are serious about moving.
