Personally I'll probably never take the train to LAX, the FlyAway is so convenient, fast, comfortable and inexpensive. Maybe if they made an express train from Union Station to LAX via the Slauson ROW it would be time-efficient.

I have lived in LA and the Flyaway is awesome, but still subject to delays because of freeway traffic congestion.

If the Green Line could go directly into the LAX terminal, as BART does into San Francisco International Airport (SFO), it would bypass the freeway congestion and save time for everyone.

Yeah. Man that slauson ROW looks abandoned.

That would be problematic for a couple reasons, besides being very expensive. First off, it would require a line to terminate in LAX, which would make northern expansion of the Green Line up Lincoln impossible. Or, if the line would go through the terminals in a loop, that would force anyone taking the line from one end to the other to make a time-consuming and roundabout trip through the airport terminals.

I think an easy transfer (has to be easy to entice riders) to a very-frequent (like every 5 minutes or less) People Mover outside the airport is the most cost-efficient and forward thinking option. Not sure if the author mentioned that in the article, but I have heard this reasoning stated a few times on other boards.

An express train from LAX to Union Station would be a great option!

Crenshaw? Sounds politically motivated. Line should go from downtown to LAX. Downtown is the hub that will connect the new speed rail line to Frisco to San Bernardino to South OC to LAX.

Uhhh... you do realize the Crenshaw (Green) line goes about 1/2 mile from LAX already right?

I dont get the huge deal about the current system (the transfer to a shuttle)-- of course other options are way better but as long as funding doesnt take away from other projects then im for the people mover
