My money is that a democrat will be the next president. Has anyone read Hillary's book???? I doubt Obama will be elected he has had some mis-haps with the public already.

I think Hilary would make a good president. Not just because she is woman. (But that helps her!!)

My second pick would be Guiliani (anyone but Macain!!) He would make U.S into a bigger craphole then it already is ..

You left a lot of candidates off the list! Romney, Thompson, Ron Paul, Biden, Edwards, and more!

I'm voting for Hillary.

Romney and Thompson have little support in L.A. In this very un-Republican city, the GOP candidates with the largest support are Giuliani and Paul, followed by McCain. I've met one Romney supporter and one supporter of the very marginal Duncan Hunter, but no Thompson or Huckabee supporters as they're too "southern".

Biden, Richardson, and Edwards should be on there as they do have supporters in L.A., and so does admitted long shot Kucinich. Dodd doesn't seem to have much support here, perhaps because he's too Northeastern?

Yay...Obama and Clinton as kicking butt in the poll. Repubs have had their 8 years to eff up America. Time for a house cleaning.

A match up of Hillary against Huckabee would be fun. I think Huckabee is a closet nut case.

Ditto on Huckabee.

But my question would be - do we really believe any of those people would change anything? They are all bought by special interest ten times over.

There's a special interest out there for you people, most of the time more than one, so don't mock "special interests".

I never voted for a Democrat and never will. I've faithfully voted in every election, including municipal ones, and that means sometimes turning in an empty ballot because all the Candidates are Democrats which is the case here in Los Angeles. I'll vote for independents though. Democrats are not a party of change. They talk and talk about it, but they never deliver. They can only manage to fund more programs without exhibiting any kind of efficacy. When was the last time welfare has reduced poverty? Did any one get better because of Medi-Cal? When public schools are wasting the lives of at least half of the students, it's time to start thinking of alternatives instead of spending more for a failed system. Democrats as a party has ruined Los Angeles AND the state and yet people are stupid stupid to keep voting them in repeatedly without question. I love this place, but its politics need to change so the county can change for the better.

Because all of the things Clinton did in the nineties where not appreciated? Try to understand what he has done.

And calling people "stupid" for voting for a democrat. Do you then consider yourself rather intelligent?

I agree with you though the Public school is horrible and it is time for alternatives.
