Hello, I apologize if this is not the right place to post this question.

My unemployment claim began 3/1/2013, I took some temp work in July and notified Edd out it. I received a letter stating that I am eligible for extended compensation thru 2/24/2014. My question is if this is normal since it hasn't been a year since I opened my claim? My October 19 ei stub says I exhausted all my benefits, but I don't see how that is since It was only 6 months.

Any guidance would be appreciated. I've never ever been on unemployment before, and the edd site doesn't answer this question, and i can't get through using the 800 number. I appreciate any feedback!

Thanks

I believe after the 6 months an extension kicks in. U may need to contact them. But keep in mind, even though you have an end date, that doesn't mean your benefits will continue to come for that entire time

Thank you jack tavern. May I ask why they wouldn't continue if I'm unable to find employment?

Hi all,
