Not necessairly - For instance, Escape, the gentrifying areas and the L.A. West Side are gaining Asians and/or Whites.
The SFV fits your description, though.

In most of the country, you have very clearly defined areas...white, black, asian, hispanic, latino...whether it's right or wrong, its how it is.
LA isn't like that at all, it's all very, very mixed. Except for super exclusive areas like palos verdes, malibu, brentwood.
But if you include schools, hotels, tourist areas, hospitals, I don't think there's any area thats majority white, asian or black.
You might have a neighborhood thats 60% majority X, but the school is 70% Y, 20% Z or whatever it is.

I think Arcadia is probably 90% Asian. There are actually lots of ethnic pockets but that's no different than any other large, metro city. As a whole, L.A. is about as a diverse of a city as any.

The Getty Center is a museum and research institute, not a neighborhood.

There are some mostly-White elementary schools in the more exclusive neighborhoods of LA. The middle and high schools are mixed, though.

Is it REALLY 90% Asian now? I remember that i used to work in that area in the early 90s. it was known then for being mostly white (maybe 90%).
