I was wondering what that song had to do with being conservative. Who'd have thought? ROCKAEOLOGY.COM: Jan & Dean: "The Little Old Lady From Pasadena"

So unless a city is to the extreme of Venice or WeHo, it's considered conservative? I don't know what bubble you live in, but it's not the norm.

Most of the unusual ones move up to Altadena (i.e. Zorthian, Zeke the Sheik, etc).

Though Pasadena did get the very "risque" Fork in the Road guerrilla art several years back (even though it was implemented by those crazy Altadenans) and somehow those CONSERVATIVE city councilmembers ok'd it.
Yeah, no kidding. Its like some people never left LA County in their life. Just about anywhere else in the country, Pasadena would be a major cultural center, hated by conservatives.

"The Dena"?

Harrier hopes that this doesn't translate into Pasadena, or even Altadena.

Maybe it is best that you did move to Wisconsin.

North of Pasadena, you have Altadena, which was one of the first places African-Americans were allowed to own property in Southern California, and as a result, is home to a significant (liberal) African-American population today.
African-Americans are a significant reason why, when Californians had the opportunity(Props. 22 and 8) they voted to uphold marriage as an institution between a man and a woman, and to this day, Californians have never voted to allow gay marriage.

That doesn't seem to be liberal to Harrier, so he wonders why you generalize the African-American community as being liberal.

The fastest growing political demographic is young conservatives.

Sorry if this fact ruins your talking point.

Maybe you should tell the rest of city's young population to move too. I'm sorry you're not up to date on current jargon.

"Pasadena, also known as "Dena" or the "626" is a city near LA, best known for the rose bowl games(which USC always wins) and the rose parade (which is only cool to the people who dont live in Pasadena)."

Urban Dictionary: pasadena

The first three UD entries all call it the Dena. It refers to the amalgamation of both Altadena and Pasadena. Guess you can learn something new every day.

Talking point? Half of my family members still live there. And I grew up right next door. There are plenty of liberal young people who live there.

Fastest growing is also a pretty meaningless statistic in this context. Going from 1% to 2% is an increase of 100% but you still only make up 2% of the population.
