Hi folks, I am 34 years old from Wisconsin. My treatment in psychiatry has been so while but my grandmother passed away and I had been a homeless Veteran for awhile. I'm looking for a new start. It has been a long period with my time living in Wisconsin. I want to know If it's nice to live in Los Angelos. I get benefits from Veterans Affairs. I have been here for way too long and looking to find different people to be friends with.

Los Angeles is notorious for its homeless veteran population; it's a national shame. I think finding affordable (even if subsidized) housing could be the biggest hurdle. The massive VA center in Westwood has recently been in the news for allowing its land to be used for non-VA business ventures instead of building housing for veterans as originally intended.

This is a sobering article from the LA Weekly: Homeless Vets' Tough L.A. Winter - LA Weekly

This is the official website for the Los Angeles VA: VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System

Good luck.

The VA in Madison, if you go there, is great. The West LA VA isn't.

Theres no better place to be homeless in than LA! You dont have to worry about freezing your ass off in the winter, no cares, no responsibilities, just spend your days hanging around the beach, relaxing, checking out the babes...what a life!

Haha thanks. Naw, no longer homeless got my entitlements VA really helped me with that so did Wisconsin, but my family supported me so that is what got me running. I am seeing the importance of finding women it is the mission of Veterans Affairs. “To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan” Lincoln
