I am looking for a place where I can take my girlfriend for a nice romantic dinner and some slow dancing. If anyone knows of any place that has dinner and dancing please let me know. We are not really into the "grinding behind a girl/club scene" . I am looking for something for mellow and romantic . HEEELP!!!!

If you like Middle Eastern food try Carousel on Brand in Glendale. VERY, VERY good food and dancing. They have live bands and bellydancing on Friday and Saturday nights. More of an upper class type place where men must wear suit/tie.

There's is also the Marrakesh in Studio City.
Tons of restaurants on Ventura Blvd between Studio City and Tarzana. Try La Fondue Restaurant in Sherman Oaks. But when I think of it, these places aren't the slow dancing places. Are you going to propose? |

The Castaway on the hill overlooking Burbank was always a nice, romantic place. I haven't been there in years, so I can't say if it's still that way, but it would probably do for dinner if it is. I don't know about dancing, though.
Since most of my dancing days in the valley were during the Country surge back in the early 90s, I could only tell you what was around then, and at that, it would be country music you would have been listening to. I think the only place that was around then that is still around is the Cowboy Palace in Chatsworth. They had a good assortment of music, and many opportunities for dancing slow as well as line dancing. It was always a lot of fun when I used to go, and was even okay for dates. If you intend to head that direction, the Odyssey in Granada Hills is nice for dinner (and is very similar to the Castaway - they both had/have? the same owners). |
