What assignment was it? What year?

Did you save the copy of the paper... it would be interesting to see (And if you do not want your real name to be seen, just blank it out)

A teacher may write "G+" as a rhetorical point to the student - of course I am not aware of any FORMAL grading system that actually uses "G" (in the USA, at least), but remember that a teacher could write "G+" as an individual assessment to prove a point to the student.

It was sort of a joke. However, while it wasn't given to me, it really was given to my wife's friend at Madison Junior High in North Hollywood around 1982.

I would like to see the state and local teachers unions dismantled. Why does anyone need a union when they have all the benefits in the world?

Yeah everyone should work for less than minimum wage so we can compete with North Korean Slave Labor. I'll bet you're in Joe's Posse

Show me a single teacher that works for minumum wage? Show me a single teacher that works on most holidays? Do you know teachers that are working weekends? Show me a teacher that does not have many of the benefits most of us pay out of our own pocket for. Teaching is public service. It is a great job and calling in life. It is not a way to get personally enriched though. If you want to make money get a job that pays real money. Not sure who Joe is or what Posse he is a part of though.

LAUSD should be taken over by Barnes and Noble, I'm half serious.

Amazon, Barnes and Noble, they should all join forces buy LAUSD, or what remains of it. Get rid of the big dumb text books. Replace them with real books that people in the outside world are buying and reading. Perhaps make wikipedia the schools daily start page.

Pass out kindle's to all students (so they can catch up on their reading during lunch or after school).

Surely, there's something better than what we currently have.

Yes there is. All private schools - no government (aka public) schools. Much cheaper in $/student. Less government (politicians) control of education. More parental control of education. More free market forces controlling education.
