If the price of parking is a dealbreaker for you why are you going to a street that houses some of the most expensive brands in the world?

Gee, I dunno... to window shop, to visit because it's a famous tourist destination, because nobody likes getting screwed by parking. Dumb question is dumb.

YOU don't see the appeal. You are not everyone else. Strange theory here, but different people have different likes, wants, desires, etc. Hard to comprehend, I know.

Why are you so smug? It just seemed silly to me. Most of the tourists I see whenever I'm around Rodeo seem to be wealthy Asians & Middle Easterners who are really into the whole conspicuous consumption thing. Not people visiting LA on a more modest budget. I could recommend dozens of things more interesting to the average person than a circle jerk of vapid status symbols.

Ah okay. Whenever I'm in that area I park at the lot next to the Williams Sonoma on N Beverly. First 2 hours free IIRC and it's a block away from Rodeo.

Because you're posting as if anecdotal information is indicative of everyone's experience. Your thoughts/desires/opinions are totally better than everyone else's because you don't spend your time in circle jerks of vapidness. You remind me of a teenager from high school who never really gets over the "I'm cooler than everyone else because I do cooler things" phase. Grow up. Realize everyone has different desires.

And you remind of me of a petulant child who gets a rise out of being a contrarian

I love it how you think you are the authority on the collective opinion. Most Angelenos I know think Rodeo Drive sucks. When I travel somewhere, I often want the local experience. Therefore, I questioned why someone would go to a tourist trap, especially if they don't seem to have the funds to fully indulge in it. It turns out he isn't going there to gawk at expensive stuff, but to glean information regarding a business decision. What exactly are you defending again?
