Help pls!! (Los Angeles, El Monte, Baldwin Park: for rent, crime, home)

I have relocated from New Jersey on account of my job at Rivergrade.I do not have a car and rely on the buses for commuting to work and back. On top of which I recently met with an accident and have broken my knee. thus would really appreciate help if somebody would be able to advise me regarding the car pool to be able to commute to job and home - I have serched the net with no results. Secodly, I have recently taken up a room for rent in the area of Baldwin Park near Los Angeles Street. Wanted to know how safe the area is - meaning how late from job can I return if still using the buses!!! Is it crime infested etc... etc..

You may want to post in the Los Angeles thread as well. Baldwin Park is LA County. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Stay away from zip code 91746 as it is the worst zip code of Baldwin Park. Not to say it is bad if that is where you live, because it's not, there are just nicer parts. Where in Baldwin Park do you live?

Baldwin Park like any city has it's crime, but one positive is it's next to El Monte which is where one of the main Metro Bus station is. They might could help with bus connections and interlinks with the metrolink train too. Good Luck and take care of the knee.
