Default Good place to stay between Gardena and West Hollywood?

Hi everyone,

I will be visiting LA in a few weeks for job interviews that I've lined up and need to figure out where to stay. Right now, my interviews are kind of all over the place, but I think the two farthest points from each other will be West Hollywood and Gardena. I was thinking about just staying in one of the hotels near LAX, but I'm not very familiar with that area. How long would it take to drive from LAX to West Hollywood in the morning? How about from LAX to Gardena? LAX to Culver City?

This is basically a business trip for me and not a vacation, so I'm not looking to stay in a 4 star luxury hotel. However, I would like to be safe while I'm there as well. Would one of the hotels around the airport be a good idea, or are there other places that I should consider, given the wide area that I'll be covering? Thanks a lot!

sgvkev is on a distinguished road
Most of the areas near LAX are good... Westchester, Culver City, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach to name a few. The bad areas are east of the 405 (Inglewood, Hawthorne, Lawndale, Gardena, Lennox).
