West Side Rentals
Has anyone used this website? I am checking craigslist, rent.com, and apartments.com - I'm not sure what to think about this particular one. Has anyone used West Side Rentals before? Positive or Negative experiences?

I've used both Craig's List and Westside Rentals and found them both very useful. Another thing about LA is that you can drive around and see "for rent" signs outside of the building with contact information and sometimes even a description of the unit(s) for rent. The driving around method works well when you have narrowed your search to a particular neighborhood or two. Over the last two weekends I came across several open houses for apartment and condo rentals just by driving around.

I've used Westside Rentals a couple of times over the years to find a place. Last time, however, I found that every Westside Rentals listing that fit my parameters was also on Craig's List. In the future I'll just go to Craig's List.

we used them all
my wife and I used westside, found a lot of great places, but yes, we too realized that duplicate ads were on craigslist.....
the landlord wants maximum exposure, and both are great services.
but also, we wound up living in a great place we found as a sign on the street. and we found SO MANY leads that way. cruise the streets in your favorite area and have that pen and paper or phone handy. many places we called while being in front of the sign, and the landlord was home, or was able to meet us while we were still in the area. a few places were unlocked and we checked out on our own after a quick call.
good luck!!

I did the exact same thing. I saw a really beautiful duplex in the Miracle Mile off of a sign in the front yard. I called the landlord and she met me there 30 minutes later to show me the place.
