The Citadel Outlet

You could also try the Camarillo Outlet

Depending on where in "LA" you will be---an hour from LA covers a huge area---

Citadel Outlets, Los Angeles
Camarillo Premium Outlets, Camarillo
Desert Hillis Outlets, Cabazon
Palmdale Factory Stores, Palmdale

The further away from the LA Metropolitan area the better. Citadel Outlets is hilarious to me. Stores sell products for the same price as one would in a nearby mall. Camarillo is pretty good but the Desert Hills Outlets is best.

When we lived in SoCal, Desert Hills was the best, but the traffic to and from was never worth the savings. Camarillo is also nice, as is Carlsbad Outlets (North San Diego County).

Try the Fahion District in downtown LA.

Wasnt there a news story recently on how all major brands make clothes specifically for outlets. Not same stuff you find in regular mall stores. Sometimes you can tell by tags like ones says the city New York while outlets say the year like est 1900

Ontario Mills is also like an outlet mall.

Citadel is much better than Ontario Mills. The latter seems third world. If you want a great outlet experience go to LV.

Citadel is OK as a small mall... there's really nothing worthwhile there, IMO.

Ontario Mills has become irrelevant because of the new Victoria Gardens right down a couple freeway exits.

I don't really mind hunting the sales racks for an infinitely better selection of stores and shopping experience at VG.

In terms of true outlets, Desert Hills is it. No competition. Camarillo comes a very distant 2nd.

I asked my friend's wife who's a buyer for Burberry about outlets and she says 90% of the clothes you see there are made specifically for the outlets at a certain price point and have never been offered in mainline stores. It may say Ralph Lauren or Coach or Burberry on the tag, but it's their outlet label with a lot of corners being cut to compete with Zara and Express. Even the Barney's, Neiman's and Sak's outlets have "house" brand merch made for them.
