I'd like to hear other board members thoughts on neighbors dumping their dog poop in your trashcans. It still smells and I think its very inconsiderate. Most of the time I've found that women do this instead of men to other people.
that's ridiculous. put a note not to dump their canine feces in your waste management container
I do it every once and a while... usually if my dog poops and I still have a long walk ahead of me and I know there are not any street trash cans nearby or large dumpsters that go with multi-family residences. I typically avoid putting it into single family home trash, because as the OP says it is kinda rude.

Look at the bright side. At least it's not on your lawn.
As a former dog owner, I hate when inconsiderate people do stuff like that. A friend had someone throw their dog's poop in the bed of his pickup truck. I've seen poop left on top of underground vault vent pipes and traffic signal equipment along the sidewalk. Just because it's in a plastic bag doesn't make it any less disgusting.

Actually, when you think about it, the plastic bag probably does make it just a tiny bit less disgusting.
Maybe just a smidgen?
Reminds me of back in the day . . . had three huge dogs. Lived out east n a pretty big lot and between stalking and murdering any of the local skunks or possums that got into my fruit trees, these dogs pooped. A lot. I had a designated poop trash can, (this was before the days of automated garbage pick up), and would sometimes watch the pick up guys argue over whose turn it was to dump the galvanized can with the snug lid.
“Your turn this week, Louie.”
“No way, man I dumped that thing last week.”
“Nah, it was me, remember? You went over and hid behind the neighbor's Pontiac.”
“Oh, yeah . . . guess I have to do the doo.”
I'd leave a six pack out for them every 3-4 weeks to help take the sting out of it.

Just smear some kind of disgusting-looking fake poop all over the lid, and I'll bet that neighbor of yours will move on to the next garbage can instead of opening yours.
