Question How much would it cost to live in Westchester?

I discovered that Westchester, neighborhood in West LA, is ethnically diversed. How much would it cost to live to rent there?

Typically starts around 800 for one bedroom, 1200 for 2, I think. It all varies since Westchester stretches from Culver City and Playa del Rey (the better parts of Westchester) to Inglewood and LAX flightpaths (the lesser desireable areas in the district). You'll pay more if you live west of Sepulveda or north of LAX, but the neighborhoods are generally better there, Yes, it is very diverse compared to the beach cities, PDR, Venice, etc.

Those "cities" are actually LA communities. But, how much would it be to buy a home there?

Westchester is a great family community lots of activities and recreation.Do you have children? The only downfall to Westchester is that the school district is not the best and slides downward the older your kids get.Elementary schools are generally pretty good, junior high is average and high school is undesirable. Many kids are bussed in from lower income parts of town therefore a lot of parents who live in Westchester send their kids to private school or other public schools.Don't get me wrong their are magnet schools and charter shcools that are close by so that it is doable to send your child to public school you just need to plan ahead and research. My oldest attends a nearby charter school and I couldn't be happier with her eductaion and my youngest will attend a magnet in the fall.Culver City is also a good option with a overall better school district if that is a concern of yours.
