Didn't the LA Times predict the Lakers in 6 games? I think the Thunder will do well on their own court. Durant is unbelievable! Maybe a good trade to LA next year?

You'll never get this.

Who was the Lakers leading scorer in the 1990s?

I had to look it up but would not have guess. There were other prolific scorers: Eddie Jones, Kurt Rambis, Vlade Divac, of-course Magic Johnson [for part of the 1990's], Sam Perkins.

Any chance you could do us a favor and edit out the name in you post? people's eyes will see it on the screen before they try to guess.

Gotcha.

It is ironic that I would overlook Shaq and Kobe; guess I always think of them as part of the Lakers since 2000 when they were responsible for the "3-Peat".

It's funny how the 90's lakers went through a dry spell. Who would have predicted in '92-95....when you had randy pfund, nick van excel, campbell, eddie jones....that you'd see the lakers of the 2000's. Kobe, Gasol, etc. They were just a run of the mill western conference team then.

I remember being in middle school and highschool watching them. How many celebrities went to games in '94? One? It was basically Nicholson, Dyan Cannon and maybe a few others.

It was not these 25 or 30 celebrity laker "fans" you see now. You didn't have this paparazzi culture. I miss the days of Chick and Stu.

It seems the Lakers have always been committed to competitiveness. After the West/Baylor/Chamberlain Lakers it was only couple years until they got Lew Alcindor (Abdul-Jabbar) and a couple years after that Magic and since then they've been very competitive.

I think the Lakers have only missed the playoffs maybe three times in 50 years.

It is pretty hard to believe seeing that both Kobe and Shaq have been on the Lakers since 1996.
