Big game tonight. No Bynum. Gasol big night? I think Las Vegas has boston by 6 or so. While it is only one game it could make the difference if these teams meet again in the finals. Best record determines home court.
Yes, a lot of psyche is riding on this game but the Lakers have been 4 & 0 on this road trip with Cleveland after Boston! Bynum will be missed but the same thing happened last year. I hope it is a fluke otherwise Bynum may be injury-bound
The thing that sucks is the Lakers played last night and they "always" lose a game after they played the night before. In fact, I think they played three games in four days. May have no legs in the fourth. With that, it might be close until the end then boston will have the extra juice. I hope I'm wrong. My kid has a basketball game tonight but I'll be home to watch the second half, its on TNT.
"Bonespur" Bill Walton was injury prone. There are some theories that his vegan diet contributed to that. Walton was as good as anyone when he was healthy and we're talking Russell, Alcindor, and Chamberlain.
I watched the last part of the 2nd quarter and then when I got home I found out that the Lakers won the game by ONE point in overtime against the team that beat them badly in Game 6 of the NBA finals.
The thing is that they did this without Andrew Bynum. Boston fans should be worried. And also, there will be no breaking the Chicago Bulls all time record for regular season wins.
Laker's performance has been mixed but the other teams [ie Celtics\ Cavaliers] seem to fall apart against LA [even on their own courts ]. Boston is all psyched out & lost to San Antonio the very next day & Cleveland is all bummed losing their first home game. There has been some terrific basketball lately
To give you an idea of what kind of future the Lakers have, Kobe is the third oldest player on the Lakers. Wasn't he just in high school a few years ago?
Two minutes left, Lakers by seven. Think anyone will start the "Boston Sucks" chant in anticipation of a LA-BOS Finals? (Kind of like the Boston Fans yelled "Beat LA" to cheer on the 76ers at the end of the game when the 76ers were eliminating Boston in Boston in 1982.)
