Recently got offered a position in South Pasadena. Currently live in West LA (Sawtelle & Pico). The position is flexible: 3 days a week and they said I could come in during times that are most convenient for me to avoid rush hour traffic.

How bad is the commute? And what would be the ideal times to go to work/go back home to avoid the most traffic while working a considerable amount of hours each day?

If you are taking the 10 to the 110, the 110 portion will be a reverse commute so should be OK.

If you can get to Culver City, you can take the Expo light rail to the 7th Street/Metro Center, then take the Red or Purple line subway to Union Station, transfer to the Gold Line which takes you to South Pasadena at Mission and Meridian. It's a hassle in DTLA until the Regional Connector gets built.

This way you can save having to drive while you snooze, work or sight-see during your commute. Unfortunately, wi-fi isn't available yet (last I heard). Good luck.
