I do enjoy the rain... but along the south-facing wall of my apartment, the air conditioner in the living room was never installed correctly, so the rain water gets blown in if it's both raining and windy. I had to try to seal the opening with duct tape (not very successfully), and put a bucket beneath. By midnight, that bucket was almost full! Other than that, no major issues. I'm glad I didn't have to drive anywhere.

It reached true downpour status about 7:45 on Friday. It poured! Now it's cleared up abit. Waiting for the next onslaught.

Yeah, and Santiago, Chile is east of Washington, D.C. Weird, huh! Sure is a twisted world we live on.

It seemed like it was pouring for hours yesterday, but as of about 9am this morning our backyard rain gauge only showed 1.5" (Thousand Oaks).

It wasnt the rain that was so intense I guess, but the winds sure were! I'm glad today it has cleared up a bit so things can soak in before the next bout.

I hope that this second round of the storm is not as intense...

It poured in San Luis Obispo on Friday which was suppose to be our hardest hit day. The wind was blowing very hard (35 mph). Today (Saturday) we are suppose to have another storm coming in this evening. So far there is just a light mist.

It came down pretty good here. Right before going to bed last night around 11:30, the winds blew down one of my patio umbrellas (with a big THUD against my bedroom wall outside). I don't mind the rain, as long as I don't have to drive to work in it!
