You are sure right about that. Palmdale/Lancaster is horrible. Look into Acton at least you can feel a little safe their.

Read your post. I had planned to sell a home, but am not sure now- may end up renting it. Are u interested in renting or buying ($279K) a 4 bdrm 2 1/2 bath, winding staircase in entry, 2100 sq ft, ldry room inside, 3 car garage, covered patio, which overhead provides patio off master bedroom. Bedrooms are pretty nice size. I bought a new home and regret it. The quality of building is now so inferior. If you decide to buy new, beware of the games the builders play. What you see is NOTHING like what you get unless you want to spend another 60-70K. When u see a house and they quote a price, ask them what the one you want would cost with all the upgrades in the model home. I made many decisions based on misinformation - insist on knowing exactly what is in the home... even lighting. Good luck.

'78-'79 and I'm white... ummm, yeah, some people around here are for s%#t, but like anywhere, most of the folks are okay, I've been renting a small home with a built in pool in Lancaster from friends of my wife for 8-10 years now for a mere $500/mo, and were looking at paying more this year to buy our own home in EAST Palmdale,,,, PEOPLE, you can't live in fear; ignoring it in your own town is like ignoring that problems even exist on the earth and then where would we all be? (Bad can bubble-up to the surface just like cream) we just expose evil one day one breath one jerk at a time.... Keep happy & make phone calls, Get involved.
