I provided a center left, mainstream, well-respected source, not some fringe blog. I might as well go posting Alex Jones or WorldNetDaily and passing it off as fact by your standards.

Yes back. You got your winnings - I'm sure it must be in the many millions because you say you dont' have to work - from millions of minimum or nearly minimum wage fools who got duped by the system.

That's moronic. It's a lottery, not an investment. Everyone knows the odds.

I've been there countless times--there's barely any difference. Even Manhattan, with its pricey real estate, has plenty of cheap eats. I'm talking dollar menu cheap.

You'd be surprised at the revenue a business can generate when the average citizen has a healthy chunk of disposable income in his/her pocket.

Wouldn't a mental health counselor with a masters degree only making $15.25/hour be worrisome? Me personally, I think mental health counselors should make more than that. And where are mental health counselors with maters degrees getting paid by the hour?

So you are saying that an article that does not support any conclusion, merely reports various issues to consider from both sides (which is what good journalism is supposed to do), and provides some random anecdotal stories for color, but which stories in no way represent any statistical studies or validations, somehow proves your ignorant position?

As I said: study the works of economists. And study history. Take note of things like what happens to economies in extreme income disparity conditions compared to the histories of what happens in balanced economies.

But you won't. It would require educating yourself and thinking with an open mind.

I've studied economists, like Milton Friedman. We're not in extreme income disparity here. LA Times is considered a center left paper. Even they get it.

Milton Friedman is the reason we as a nation fell into the mess we have And the vast majority of other economists from all political persuasions now agree.

You haven't "studied economists". You have bought a load of crap from some AM radio dope that champions Friedman. One nut ball economist gets put in front of you and you buy in to it and now hold him up as an example of "studying economists".

As for the LA Times piece, as I just pointed out to you in my previous post: No, they didn't "get it" your way. Are you serious that you can't understand the article you linked?

First of all, it's a fair piece of oatmeal filler daily journalism - in that it fairly raises questions on an issue. It does NOT, however, arrive at ANY conclusion one way or another. Plain as the nose on your face, it doesn't.

Secondly, it IS NOT, by any measure, in-depth "investigative journalism", let alone an actual study.

If you don't know these differences you should refrain from posting links.
