Then there's the less violent but nevertheless crude behavior, such as making sexual suggestions to lone females, cursing at and threatening people who do not give them money or a cigarette, exposing their genitals to passers-by, etc.

It's quite simply out of control and unacceptable -- nobody paying to live in the area ought to be subjected to the aforementioned.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I am sure that gentleman just needed a bandana for his hobo stick.

I walked by the park at the intersection of Bundy and Santa Monica Blvd. today. How sad that the city had to fence off that nice little pocket-park to keep out the riff-raff, yet they still congregate around it. That park just sits there UNUSED, because there are people who want abuse it and make it the bane of the neighborhood, not that camping out around it is much better.

Have you been there at night lately? Cops everywhere, have like 10 cars breaking up those drum circles because the yuppies that just moved in were bitching about it, they should've just moved to Santa Monica or something if they didn't wanna deal with Venice weirdness. I bet if I bitched about gunshots in my neighborhood LAPD wouldn't wanna make moves unless it served into the interests of some developers trying to clear the place for rich (mostly) white people.

Or, the drum circle people could make their noise elsewhere, preferably where people aren't trying to relax in their apartments.

We need to devote how much police resources to stopping background noise?

I think the best move would be to round them up and ship them to the neighborhoods where the 9th circuit justices live, so they can be subject to the car break ins and garbage dumping that the rest of us have to deal with. But the justices probably all live in gated communities anyways, where they are insulated from the effects their decisions have on the rest of us.
yup. for this situation to get some resolve, the case must be taken to the SC.
