No place is perfect but I hate Los Angeles. First of all, I"m a country girl- was born and raised in maine, so city life OF ANY KIND is hard for me. Secondly, we were going to KC because family is there (or at least relatives) so we'd have some people around we could talk to periodically, which turned out not to be of course. but it's cool- God is good and he protects us.

They're being preventative Jack. You know how it goes. First it's jaywalking, and then you graduate to raping and pillaging. All the great rapists and pillagers started off jaywalking, didn't you know?

Funny thing is, if you go to Beverly Hills, no laws apply. People walk right across the middle of the street smack into moving cars and expect everyone to slam on their brakes for them. No cops in sight. I guess they get enough tax dollars elsewhere.

I think it's funny that some intersections have just a two-way stop, yet other almost identical intersections have four-way traffic lights.

At the intersection with the two-way stop sign, the government appears to trust that I can make an intelligent decision about whether or not it is safe to merge onto the cross street. At the intersection with the light system, I guess I am too stupid to make that decision, even when it's 3 am and there isn't a car for miles.
