I was walking through NoHo arts and noticed many retail spaces for lease. Just in the block between Lankershim and Vineland on Magnolia there were 4 spaces for lease. This block is already home several hip places like Republic of Pie , Bow and Truss and others . It'll be interesting to see what opens in these new spaces.
The previous places looked to include an antiques type store or thrift store, a former marijuana place and an autobody repair shop.

On another note, will be interesting to see what happens to the small theatres due to this new rule that will have to make 99 seat theatres like the ones found in NoHo arts to pay $9 an hour. There's some talk that this will put some theatres out of business..and many actors seemed to be against it ...including a lot of famous actors that got their start in the small theatres .

Slideshow: Equity actors vote overwhelmingly against minimum wage proposal for 99-seat theaters | 89.3 KPCC

It also looks like the large apartment building being built on Lankershim is almost open as well and it looks like there will be retail space there too. Should be interesting to see how things are in the next couple years or so.

There's some good food right in that area. Vicious Dogs is amazing. Pitfire Pizza is good too, but you can get that elsewhere in LA.

Yeah I've been to both. Pit fire has a great location and always seems to be pretty busy I'm sure that location does very well .i went a couple times and thought it was alright . They were definitely ahead of the game as far as trendy pizza places in LA.

Will be interesting to see what new restaraunts end up opening up. There's a taco place opening on lankershim next to district pub called tipsy tacos .

Also there is a soul food type place opening in may where phils diner was. It's amazing how long that was closed for not sure why it took so long to get another tenant in there .

Yeah, the menu looked really good! A lot more interesting than what they had at Phil's diner.
I did notice the sign saying they were on OWN.

It seems like the kind of place that could be a destination, where people might travel from further out..considering they are on TV and have the other location.

Awesome, I definitely plan on trying it when it does open. I think NoHo arts has a lot of potential and will become more of a destination in the near future.

Not in the Arts district, but the In-N-Out in NoHo is super old-school.
