hello everyone I am planning to move to Hawthorne by the end of this month I hope . I have been driving around the area the past 3 weeks for several hours at a time and really like it ( despite everyone around me giving me a panicked look when I say want to move there) . I am using west side rentals and a website called padmapper to find a location however it's really competitive to find a decent place even in this area .

are there any other resources I should use to look for a decent apartment in Hawthorne ?

What is your budget and how is your commute?

West of Inglewood blvd looks relatively safe and west of 405 (Look at the fusion and three-sixty communities) have some good communities to rent in.

Look at the apartments just west of Hawthorne Blvd. near 120th. There are going to be some questionable apartments, but some seem okay. Mostly working class area.
