The times that I have visited friends all I ever saw were large estates. The area is a beautiful oasis in the valley.

I was born there and currently work there. My dad grew up there in the 60's-70's... I couldn't live in the valley again. Working there is enough of a pain in the ass.

There are two tarzanas in my opinion, north and south of Ventura. The same can be said for other valley neighborhoods as well, but the difference is most dramatic in tarzana from what I've seen. Northern tarzana is much more similar to Reseda. Compare to Sherman oaks, encino and woodland hills, which have better kept areas at the northern fringes. Anyways, I can imagine that this part of tarzana used to be much nicer years ago.
