I *hate* Vallarta. It's overpriced, not the best quality and they blast Taco Music at full volume. I like the Northgate Market in ELA but I live in Studio City. I don't want to drive all that way to buy wheat Bolillos.

Is there anything in Studio City/NoHo/Sun Valley/Burbank that anyone can recommend?

Thanks.

R

A mexican grocer in Studio City or Burbank I doubt you will find that. Rents in those areas are high and they mainly cater to big chains

That's why I added NoHo and Sun Valley. Vallarta us all over NoHo. I'm hoping someone else has set up shop in NoHo. I'll go as Far East as Frog Town or up to San Fernando as they are both closer than Boyle Heighta.

Rachel, you may have to bite the bullet and travel outside the area. As a black man living in Hancock Park, there are certain things (hair/ skin care, "ethnic" foods etc.) I need to take the freeway to acquire. Just make sure you stock up on items when you do. Good luck...

Try North Hollywood or Van Nuys. I can't tell you the names of any of them because I don't travel through those areas anymore but they have them.
