The Pasadena Star News reported today that a little old lady from Pasadena was taken into custody by authorities today for selling marijuana-laced sandwiches from her red, super stock 1960s Dodge. Patrons were first attracted by the A/C and then purchased sandwiches, that cost upwards of $50 each.

Customer robertpasa gushed, "Her sandwiches were good but it was the A/C that kept me coming back."

Could you stop pounding on me? It was over 90 degrees that day, and I was upset the guy wouldn't answer me apart from mumbling.

Robert, I am making fun of you because I love you. Keep posting extremely Pasadena-centric threads, I love them! And I am saying this totally unironically.

Just about anything that goes well with Grey Poupon, though she usually needs to borrow some from a neighboring car.

Than you know what? Stay home when it's hot.

And you know those two things below your ankles that go you into Lees? Well guess what, they go in the other direction when you turn around.

Place is too hot and you find the owner rude....YOU LEAVE and your $$$$ goes with you, I know it's really hard finding a place to eat in Pasadena, they're such a rarity.

If you'd like to do some pounding of your own you might consider taking a boxing class. I think there are some nice ones in Pasadena. Although I can't speak to the quality of their air conditioning.

Question for you, Robert Ye Old Pasadenan. What WAS that "old" department store before it was a Target?

Well, since this thread's totally derailed, I'll keep the train a-rollin'.

I did go a few times to that old Target when it was a fancy department store but I spent tons of shopping time at the newer Target on East Colorado when it was a Fedco.

Not sure if I ever set foot in the Macy's at Lake and Del Mar when it was a Bullocks. I always wondered it Techers ever crossed the "L's" on that big sign on the corner as a prank -- it was so tempting. Either way, it is a mid-century gem of a building.

The one that's got me stumped is, what was the department store, that anchored Plaza Pasadena, before it also became a Macy's? (Yes, for a while, Pasadena had two Macy's less than a mile apart). Was it a Broadway or May Co.? Sears?
