I wanted to get in on Sunday. All of the free tickets were accounted for and it was packed. I headed to MOCA instead.

The Broad's architecture is interesting, especially as contrasted by its glittering Disney neighbor.

I saw hints of the collection online. I can't wait to see it in February.

We got tickets for sometime in December..looking forward to checking it out..hopefully it won't be too super busy to enjoy.

Nice to see billionaires and the rich giving back in this way and opening a cultural venue like this that will be free for the public.

I love that DTLA is getting real world class venues. Mr.Broad supposedly spent +/- 150m on construction of the building.

A big gift for sure...but he is worth an estimated $7.4billion..so he likely won't miss the money

He's the only person to ever build two Fortune 500 companies in two different industries (Kaufman & Broad and SunAmerica Insurance)

It’s funny how so many people want to visit the Broad even though they’ve never visited MOCA, which arguably has the best contemporary art collection in the country. The Broad space looks fantastic though, so I guess that’s the reason.

The Broad is great and has an impressive collection. Nice to see art from a wide variety of top contemporary artists. The problem with MOCA is its small permanent collection with more modern art than contemporary art. The temporary exhibits change every X months which is great if you go often, which I do, but for those who cant they miss out of some awesome work like the Urs Fischer exhibit. The other major museums Getty and LACMA in SoCal dont have a large contemporary collection or any. LACMA has small one but has a lot of changing exhibits.

If I remember the Broad is almost all contemporary art. Got to see a lot of art from artists I have heard of but never have seen any of their art in person, I think.

Tip: We took a chance a few Sundays ago and showed up with a group of six with no tickets and walked right in. So I doubt you really need to reserve a particular entrance time, unless you want to. It was pretty full, but not so much that you couldn't move around and enjoy the exhibits.

And note: Admission to the Broad is totally free, no charge for any tickets
