This is ridiculous! I sincerely hope you're joking, Bunky39.

Charles, your predictions are hilarious. However, I have hope that the Kings will turn things around before 20 years from now.

Continued high-rise condo + office development downtown. Revitalized Historic Core. Vibrant, gentrified Hollywood. A few more high-rises in Century City and along Wilshire. East LA/Inland Valley inheriting some of the problems from Central LA. Improved public transit. Freeways that are all but useless. Beautification of the LA river in areas. Basically, I'd buy stock in DT and the Westside... and sell stock for the areas East of DT.

  • Alot more Mexicans; more new schools for them to write graffiti in.
  • A downtown where one can work, play and sleep.
  • Melrose will die and be reborn again.
  • Gentrification in cities like Lawndale, Koreatown more of it in Venice.
  • Those silly Mediterranean-style condos will be EVERYWHERE.
  • Playa del Ray & Co will be sprawling!
  • More near collisions over at LAX.
  • All the crackheads will leave Hollywood.
  • The Black population will go ???, Atlanta?
  • We might have 1 or 2 new rail lines..

p.s.
what's hollywood central park?
Yeah I agree with what you're saying but I know many latino families that are leaving Los Angeles. As much as they love living amongst their Latino communities they 'have to' make the decision to leave. Immigrants will continue to come but I personally think that the numbers will begin to decrease as not even at $15/hr is enough to live comfortably in Los Angeles.
Anyways, Hollywood Central Park will begin construction in 2010 and is proposed to be finished in 2012. Basically, part of the 101 in Hollywood will become a tunnel and on top of the freeway a park will be made. Check out the link for a more detailed description and before/after pictures.

charles thats great!!! thanks for bigging up my clippers! as for LA. it will look similar to today, but it think industrial areas like vernon and commerce will build housing to accomodate the growing population. and i dont think immigrants will be as plentiful as they are now. mexicans will be everywhere we are now, but immigrants are already bypassing the typical spots like LA and vegas for the south and the east. my friend recently saw a taco truck in NYC!!! but i cant wait to see the future LA. im sure i will be having as great a time then as i am now. oh and i hope we have a good Public trans system.

Why? If LA is hostile to black people, why should they stay? I can't say I blame them (or anyone else for that matter) for heading to greener pastures.
