Gas Leak in Los Angeles Has Residents Looking Warily Toward Flint
LOS ANGELES — Health officials have tested the air and deemed it safe. Yes, the awful smell from a huge natural gas leak near the Porter Ranch neighborhood may cause vomiting, nosebleeds and other short-term symptoms, they say, but they have assured residents that it does not pose long-term health risks.

The problem is that public safety groups, especially at the state level, are generally just PR firms working for polluters. Even the EPA frequently seems more concerned with protecting polluters from public scrutiny than protecting the environment or public from the polluters. Officials in state and national environmental/public safety agencies frequently come from or enter into the industries they're supposed to oversee.

Exactly why no government organization can be trusted and why everyone should be demanding that all those jobs be done away with, and all that money instead be used to finance Universal Health care and providing a home for everyone! Government jobs are just created for relatives/friends of those in government at taxpayer's expense, none do the work of the job description! Time to get those SOBs off the public dole!

Then stop it. Your views are entirely kneejerk and contradictory. The government ruins everything so the government needs to be dissolved and be in charge of all housing and medical care?

Lol. OP has her tin foil hat on about not trusting the government but then wants government subsidized housing and healthcare. Probably because those are things she can't afford herself. Talk about a double standard.
